No phone call, Email saying my paypal account was incorrectly charged $500 for a hotel. They wanted me to call this number. My paypal account isn't connected to credit card & doesn't show any overcharges.
This outfit tried to get me to allow them to remotely access my computer to cancel a $549.77 fraudulent charge on my PayPal account. I received an email to call them if I wanted to waive the charges. DON'T CALL THE NUMBER IN THE EMAIL or ALLOW THEM TO REMOTELY ACCESS YOUR COMPUTER!
I received a SPAM email on April 23rd at 12:25 PM est from [email protected] stating that my payment to Norton/Lifelock has been renewed. This followed by an order number: 716 - 550 -R63 -Z41 in the amount of $196.99. Then the phone number +1888-342-8950. Fraud of course.
I received a email message claiming to be Norton Internet Security telling me my credit card had been charged nearly $400.00 for 2 years service with Norton. It gave me this number to call if I wanted to cancel the service or if I had any other questions. I'm well aware of scams & I won't call that number. I haven't used Norton & I have no intention of subscribing with them. I guess I'll just have to watch my card to make sure no charges have been made.
