call came in from an East Dundee, IL. I asked who they were, and why they were calling she said it was chase and asked for my name, and I wouldn’t give her my full name and told her that I don’t have any accounts with Chase, then she asked me for my Social Security number. I told her I wasn’t comfortable giving her that either and she suggested I walk into my local chase bank and give them the number so that they could look into what accounts may be open in my name.
After explaining to them that I have never had an account with them. They keep calling trying to collect a Credit card debt of which I never had an account. They just won't stop calling.
They called and asked for my daughter's name, she does business with Chase however, is NOT in collections and there is no way my phone number would be associated with her account. When I called the number back and asked why the phone number was NOT listed as a safe # for Chase, I was told that I would be transferred to the fraud department and then when I questioned that further, the guy told me that I should ask my husband what secret accounts he has cause it's in collections and he hung up on me.
I have iPhone When the call was incoming it said ‘ JP CHASE’ for the caller ID name. When I looked at the recent calls to search the number, the caller ID said ‘spam risk’. …Assuming it’s a scam of some kind
I have received at least four calls per day every day this week from this number, starting at 8:30 a.m. and going into almost 8:00 p.m.. I keep declining the call because I cannot take personal calls when I am at work. I finally blocked the number tonight. This is harassment as far as I'm concerned.
After getting so many calls from the number, I decided to stop by the local Chase bank and they also had a JPmorgan chase office. Showed them the number and they did not recognize it at all. In addition, I told them that I didn't have an account with them ever. The representative told me to just ignore the call and to never answer it. Hope this helps.
