As of 2019 the Sacramento County number for providing alerts to subscribers is (833)4-CalAle(rt) or (833) 422-5253. This is not spam or a scam. It is part of a community notification system you signed up for. It is disturbing that people think an automated message describing a local situation is a scam (what would that scam be exactly?). While it is important, we remain vigilant against scammers, it is just as important we don't forget how to think logically and discern the difference between malicious and benign.

I thought this was a Spam call as the caller ID states "Sacremento …." I didn't answer and listed to the VM left by this number --- which was NOT A SPAM call. People fix your caller ID. Spell our County's name correctly! This VM stated a femaie is missing around Watt Avenue and Mayfair and gave a description. Frustrating that me and others might overlook this type of call due to a typo!

SPAM SPAM SPAM... very little is spelled correctly... "plaster County" "East Rawlins" "Foster County" "Norton great" "zone four and zone five". Anybody experiencing the River Fire in Placer and Nevada counties know these spellings a WRONG WRONG WRONG.

I believe this is a spam call. Anyone within the Sacramento Region and any official Sacramento emergency response unit would know how to spell Sacramento. Call ID indicates Sacremento, which is incorrect

Says he is from "The legal Dept" looking for my daughter. Had my dob & other daughters name but wouldn't give a reason

I thought this was a legit alert, but blocked the number because I got three calls in about 20 minutes. I answered the second one, and listened to the alert, but still got a third call.

Spammer leaves the message to represent Sacramento City Alert. I did not pick it up and check the number.
