The first time, I answered the phone and was asked to enter my zip code. I did and was told zip code was wrong. They just called again and left a message to call back with a personal key code. This is not a sales call. I have several accounts and cards with Citibank/ whenever they leave message, they say which card, NEVER say personal key code ( say reference #) and NEVER say it’s not a sales call. THIS IS SO FAKE!

I received several messages from this number over the last week...automated voice saying it was Citibank and had a message for my account. It asked to call back and provide a code, when I called an automated system asked to confirm my name (which I did) and then tried to confirm and find out more information; I couldn't connect to an operator and assumed it was spam so hung up immediately. Received another call today- in frustration called the official Citi number to find out if it was legitimate or report them if spam. To my surprise, the number IS officially connected to Citibank- it is a collection agency they use, I had a $5 charge on an old account from 2 months ago and the amount was past due. Rather than EMAIL me, or provide some information as to why they're calling, they chose to basically appear as spammy as possible, but unfortunately they are legit. So it might be an annoying collection call on past due amounts, but Citi 100% confirmed the number is related to them
