The first time, I answered the phone and was asked to enter my zip code. I did and was told zip code was wrong. They just called again and left a message to call back with a personal key code. This is not a sales call. I have several accounts and cards with Citibank/ whenever they leave message, they say which card, NEVER say personal key code ( say reference #) and NEVER say it’s not a sales call. THIS IS SO FAKE!

I received several messages from this number over the last week...automated voice saying it was Citibank and had a message for my account. It asked to call back and provide a code, when I called an automated system asked to confirm my name (which I did) and then tried to confirm and find out more information; I couldn't connect to an operator and assumed it was spam so hung up immediately. Received another call today- in frustration called the official Citi number to find out if it was legitimate or report them if spam. To my surprise, the number IS officially connected to Citibank- it is a collection agency they use, I had a $5 charge on an old account from 2 months ago and the amount was past due. Rather than EMAIL me, or provide some information as to why they're calling, they chose to basically appear as spammy as possible, but unfortunately they are legit. So it might be an annoying collection call on past due amounts, but Citi 100% confirmed the number is related to them

Claims to be Citibank; however, they couldn't prove it, so do not give credit card or ss number to them. It's a scam.

Call was about late/forgotten payment, Sears/Citibank. Call was very frequent. Added to ditch list.

They've called three times in two days w/o bothering to leave a message. I do not answer non-contact list numbers, and don't bother to return the calls of callers who don't bother to leave a message.

This number calls repeatedly. Even blocked it but some how can by pass the apple block button. Called early on Sunday and around 6:30 pm Sunday. I don’t VM but i also dont have any citi bank accounts. As per the complaints I’m reading about this number.

Stated my account was past due by $39, but also said my last payment of $3,5.. bounced for insufficient funds. I said I was not made aware of any bounced payments, and I would make my payment as I usually do. She then named a bank and asked if I would be paying online, I said no, she said good! She knew when I had opened that account, how much my line of credit was, and payment due date. That is creepy! I told her not to call my number again, that she was not Citibank, and I had looked up the number and it was listed as spam. She kept saying "I am Citibank". I kept replying with "Don't call my number again"! Then hung up.
