Had a lengthy conversation about home protection installation. They called me. I didn't catch a name, but essentailly she was fishing to get $99 from me, for the home security equipment, which included remotes of some kind, even an option to add others for any children in the home over 12, and in return I would get a $100 Visa gift card. FIRST, however, they needed my information and CC for the $99 right away on the phone. Said she was in Indiana, lol, but has a local area code (612 is Minnesota). I declined, but she was very convincing and even cordial. Reporting as SPAM. Upon searching the number on Google, no businesses show up, just this thread.

Definately a scam. I don't believe SS would call. They write if they want to communicate with you.
