Voice-mail is like printers, and then there's YouMail I don't know what I've been doing wrong but voice-mail is a huge pain point to me. I was so close to making my voice-mail message say "please don't leave me a voice mail, just text me," but YouMail solved my problems! I get timely notifications, and it's so easy to check without having to call a number like a neanderthal. I took off a star because it's not the prettiest app, and they do constantly ask to upgrade for voice to text (but it's not with pop up notifications, so it's not very invasive).
