ID reads Discover. I either don’t answer or answer and immediately disconnect the call. They call day after day, three or four times a day. It’s like slow torture.
It’s literally the exact same recording as the one posted here. Discover has 24 hour service so it immediately made me wonder when they said they only had certain hours you could call. Also this number doesn’t match the one on the discover site.
Hi, this is Bryce calling from Discover. This is an agreement we had with the cardholder, and it’s imperative that we speak to him and only him. ~ We reply that the card and account have been closed. ~ Caller then became aggressive about opening another line of credit. We hang up.
This is legitimately Discover Bank, calling to collect legitimate debts.
"This is DISCOVER and we are calling attempting to collect a debt, this is NOT a sales call. It is important that you get ahold of us immediately.
They have called at least 15 times in the last 2 weeks. I don't answer. Sometimes they leave a message saying they need me to call them back at a different number. I called my Discover Card and my account is perfect, paid in full and no unknown charges. They said it's a scam call and never give them any information.

They call and pretend they are from Discover Card. They say something about a late payment or missed payment and begin to tell you they can reverse any fees or late charges etc if you give them a payment now. They can access certain information about your account, which is somehow reassuring. They got me the first time they called. I made the payment with them on the phone, however I didnt directly give them my debit card or checking account info. I havent quite figured out their scam yet. Its pretty clever. But basically several weeks later, I got a statement saying that my payment I had made to them was returned by my bank or that my bank rejected it. When I got my discover statement, it was off, I couldnt quite put my hand on it. Something about the way they were posting those specific payments and credits is confusing because you dont know how each institution handles their payments and credits, but something didnt add up. My bank is looking into this. Waiting for my next statement
I blocked them, but still call up to 10 times a day, starting in the morning & ending at night
