Classes will begin again for students on Tuesday April 11 during the break we love for our parents to consider becoming part of a new advisory council called the superintendent's parent and guardian advisory Council applications to join this council can be found on our website or you can stop in to the school and get them to help you complete one. We are looking for diverse group of 50 parents and guardians that will be quarterly with superintendent McManus and eight her and the district and making well informed decisions that help WS FCS be the best place for students to learn and grow. Good evening this is Trisha McManus Winston Salem for Side County School Superintendent. Today was another frightening day for our community. Many of our students and our partners at five tech(?) as you know a shooting occurred earlier today after five Tech while attending an event for students exploring future college plans. One of our students was injured after shooting himself in the hands. There are still lots of questions as the investigation continues and we will lean on our law enforcement partners to keep us up to date. I want to extend my gratitude to our staff members our students and our partners at the site(?) tech and the Winston Salem Police Department with action was taken by all.
