very effective as a simple spam call blocker, however it requires data connection to stay updated otherwise it will start to block any and all calls regardless of your settings, permissions or if you've just barely 'synced'. i tend to swap over to this app when i feel I'm getting too many spam calls recently; and swap back to my built in carriers call handler app when i need to ensure callers can reach me
