Call is from Croatia Why would i know anyone in Croatia? I?m Japanese
Sent link to fake website as citizen bank asking for username and password for my bank account to check for unusual activity.
I got a text this morning about a 30.000 dollar award but, I told them I'm not giving them any personal info . There is no name, but I figure I can see where they are texting me from so I did.
Tried to lure me into giving personal information for a fake job opportunity.
I recently applied for multiple jobs on Indeed. I received an email from Mr. Reid asking me to do a background check. The next day I received a text message from this phone number offering me a job at $40 an hour. I asked for many company details he would not provide. He asked if I wanted direct deposit and wanted my account information. Luckily I am smarter than this and declined to give out this information. 100% a scam.
I answered and replied with a hello. To hear if anyone was on call. All heard was a quick loud buzzing machine and the call ended.
They call incessantly. Other places report this as a scam. I’ve blocked the number but use *67 and call back—same people using different numbers. No thank you.
