Call from patient. You've been pre-approved for a lower monthly payment. To accept press one to send a voicemail press two. To accept press one to send a voicemail. Okay. Goodbye.
This is PNC loss Prevention/fraud and they called due to suspicious charges on our account. It IS legitimate. I called the 888 number on the back of my card and they verified this IS their loss Prevention department. Local branches will NOT know if charges have been flagged as potentially fraudulent. This is NOT a scam!
This is a safe number please correct as it is a legitimate number from PNC Bank calling to verify charges.
As others have said, an automated message was left asking me to call back and confirm suspicious activity on our debit card. My wife had tried to submit an online purchase more than once, not realizing we didn't have the needed funds to cover the transaction, so this seems to have been legitimate communication on the part of PNC. However, instead of calling the 800-225-5671 number, I called the number on the back of the debit card itself and was directed to a representative with whom I was able to verify my wife's activity. I can't comment on whether the original 800 number is part of a scam, but they do have knowledge of potentially fraudulent transactions. I would recommend you contact PNC through a known number just to be safe.
I missed some calls from this number, there WAS fraudulent activity on my card but I didn't call this number back because of all the scam reports. But ya'll might wanna check your account activity....
This is my banks fraud department
My daughter used an uber connected to my card to get home from a party in the middle of the night so I received a 'potential' farud call.
Instead of returning this call I called the number on the back of my card to confirm.
I believe this telephone number is actually valid PNC fraud prevention number. However, it is always better to call the number on your card.
Thieves... scam call, ask you for your full card number and 3 digit security on the back of your card before even verifying your identity. This scam group needs to get real jobs... f*cking LOSERS! YOU are all a disgrace!! Low life trash!! Have a nice day and may karma come back at you seven fold!!
Pnc bank automated system calling to confirm recent transactions that may be declined due to possibly being fraud. Checking to make sure charges are legit. You have to confirm identity with them and they read your name and phone number back.
Legitimate call from PNC Bank concerning charges on my account.
Fraud dept of PNC Bank
This number calls to verify that bank account activity is legit and done by the bank account owner.
I received the same recorded messages as the other callers. I called the bank through their direct customer service number on the website, and confirmed that they did in fact call me about some possible fraudulent charges. This is a legit number.

Caller purporting to be PNC bank and asked to verify zip code. We called PNC directly and they verified that this IS NOT a PNC number (Real one: 888-762-2265). This is a SCAM number asking for zip code to steal credit info
THIS IS NOT SPAM PNC VERIFIED THIS NUMBER
calls no messages. i don't have an account with them.
Not a scam. I thought it would be, so I called the number on the back of my bank card. I explained I received a voicemail saying there was unusual activity on my card that needed verified and I was suspicious. Customer service said it was valid. And transferred me over to the fraud protection department.
We got the message, called the bank's number on the card, and they didn't know the number. So I scolded PNC for telling my son to go ahead and call it. The email response said they COULD confirm it was their Visa Transaction dept. I told them if their phone people did their jobs they could have spared themselves a lecture
My personal bank
This is a real call from PNC’s fraud division!!!
This is the number from which PNC bank calls to verify transactions. You should never assume the person is actually calling from that number, but make sure you call the number on the back of your card -- There may be a problem which requires your attention.
Not really PNC is fraudulent
Bank card fraud verification
Fraud prevention from my bank
I kept getting calls from here, so I checked with the actual bank service number, and they told me the credit card loss prevention number starts with 855, so this is a scam.
