Very amateurish robo call claiming to be from First Data corporation, claiming to be in response to my WISCONSIN credit union, using a NEBRASKA phone number, & I don't even have a debit card.
Had three calls just in one day! Called the number they gave and talked to the supervisor. (I live in a small town 700 people) and the supervisor refused to look up my area code to confirm that it would be true and he “could not give that information up without and account/card number”. Complete scam!!!
4 calls from different people saying they wanted to check online orders taken from my account and wanted me to verify them with my account number. I said "if you have this info then you should have my account number. My bank has nothing to do with this company so do not call me again. they hung up. Not 5 minutes later same number calls again and of course no one speaks good english. I said when you learn to speak english then call me back. scammers.
Unsolicited no message
They called saying they're from Herring Bank. Luckily I found this and told them I saw it online and to not contact me again.
A man called and left a message stating that they wanted to verify transactions using my MasterCard Debit card. They asked me to call them back at 1-800-827-8622 so my card doesn’t get blocked. Not even 10 minutes later a female called and left the same exact message. I heard the man telling her what to say in the background. I called my bank. My bank did not recognize this phone number and told me that if they had any questions about my debit card, they would call themselves. I see some people claiming this is legit. I honestly think it’s a scam. I trust my bank.
Pakis fishing for personal information.

This message is for so end so. We're calling on behalf of Herring bank about transactions on your mastercard.
I received a call from this number saying they were calling on behalf of my credit union. Was given the number 1-800-622-1361 to call back. I called my bank when they opened and asked if it was legitimate. I was told yes. The call is from first data Corp. I did verify my transactions with the bank and called the number back as well. It was an automated call the asked me if I was calling from ( my phone number) and asked for the last 4 digits of the card. I just had to press 1 if the transactions were ones I had made.
It is important to call these people back. My husband and daughter were out of town at a soccer tournament. So our cards were being used in 2 different places. They were locked out of their hotel room because the cards were placed on hold until I called. Now when we travel we let the bank know dates and places.
calling from the transaction department for Forum Credit Union about charges on Mastercard, please call back at 1-800-622-1361
Forum credit union call us at 1 800 622 1361
I got a voicemail from this number. The voicemail looks like the other ones here, except the man said he was calling from Fidelity Bank and to call 1-800-622-13621. I looked up that number and it is tied to an energy company. I called my bank directly and got things sorted, but it looks like this number is spam.
My bank has no affiliation with these people.
