This is not a scam. CT electricity suppliers are legitimate, fully state-regulated businesses and they work with UI and Eversource. You may indeed save money, provided you open all the required mailings from the electricity supplier and be mindful of the date of the end of the term, after which rates usually shoot up. I myself switch suppliers or renegotiate with the current one a month before the expiry.
This is not a scam. I know the category of business, but I don't know the name of the specific supplier. You can save money as long as you remain attentive to the mailings they send you. In any case, it's highly regulated and they cannot act without your utility. If you do decide to speak to a human and are not interested, be polite but request clearly that you be taken off the calling list.
It's not a scam. I'm familiar with the industry, which is highly regulated by PURA. These callers are not subject to the Do-Not-Call restrictions because of your relationship with Eversource or UI. If you do speak to a representative and decide NOT to pursue the offer, then simply ask that your name be removed from the calling list and that you not be called again. Be polite.
If you do accept the offer from the supplier, just be aware of the length of the term and open up and read all the mail that you get from it. Usually, at the end of the term, the rate shoots up, so be sure to switch beforehand. Better yet, go to the state's Energize Connecticut site to do your own research.

Hi there this is Bob I know it's been a while but hopefully you recognize my name and my voice here. Please do not delete this message and just give me a few seconds. The last time we connected you were interested in making some money online and so I just wanted to share this with you because it's currently making me over $10,000 a week. You should definitely check it out it doesn't require you to learn any marketing or doesn't require to talk anyone on the phone and we actually have brand-new people who've never made a dime online before and check this out they're already making five to $10,000 a week just after 30 to 60 days even. So would it be worth just a few minutes of your time just to learn a little bit more. I strongly encourage you to take the small action step right now and listen to my free recorded message immediately. By immediately I mean right now to do this. All you gotta do is just hit redial on your phone or just call the number back on your caller ID. When you hang up here. You got nothing to lose and everything to gain. So again when you hang up here. Simply just hit redial on your phone and call the number back on your caller ID trust me you'll be very happy you made this call and remember timing is of the essence and actually if gets his foils(?).

The call every single day under different Ct. cities phone prefixes. They are a call center who is deceitfully pretending to be Eversource, without saying that. They crudely & forcefuly (sometimes nicely if rudely doesn't work) say, " I need to speak with someone who handles the Eversource bill. Be advised, it is NOT Eversource.
I think it is a competitor of Eversource, trying to get you to change to their alleged cheaper company.
We have had occasional mail saying that our electric usage is higher than our neighbors usage. First of all, it's nobodies business. 2ndly, they all work during the day and 1/2 the night. Not home to use it.
If they are this deceitful now, would you trust them? NOOOOO!
I let the calls go to answering machine, but they come every single day. Someone tell the FCC.
